Best Bet: M.A.C.’s Thrills Lipstick

On the cusp of a much-needed three-day weekend, M.A.C.'s just-launched color collection, "To the Beach," seems particularly apt. The standout of the set is the Thrills lipstick, a splashy, orangey-rose hue. Though the shade is on the darker end of the spectrum, it has a golden sheen that highlights lips and complements sun-kissed skin. And despite the glossy look, after wearing it for an evening in 90 degree heat, we can attest to its lasting power (our mascara, on the other hand, was another story). The new lipsticks come in three other shades: Beachbound, a peachy pastel for day; Lazy Day, a girly, retro pink; and Funbathing, a deep plum that we're saving for a night out.
