LOUIS VUITTON COLLECTION SPRING 2014 RTW

A very radically different and dramatic last collection from designer Marc Jacobs for the French fashion house of Louis Vuitton hit the Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014 runway at Le Carre du Louvre earlier today October 2, 2013 in Paris, France.

Models with elaborate feathered headdresses amid a burlesque atmosphere showcased mostly a monochrome black and very eveningwear oriented collection from Marc Jacob for Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014.

Jacobs’ vision for Spring/Summer 2014 includes beaded gowns, beaded skirts and full-legged pants (slightly baggy), teamed with burlesque style tops with various feathers such as a black peacock feather or marabou bustier, topped off with tuxedo style cropped jackets – all in a monochrome black palette.
Louis Vuitton also has a full selection of pale blue denim jeans embellished with black beads, which team extremely well with the beaded tops and jackets.
Favorites in this collection include a very ornate beaded black tuxedo jacket, the peacock motif top, the beaded pencil skirt, their beaded long-sleeve gown and several beaded blue jeans.
Louis Vuitton S/S 2014 accessories include streetwise biker boots, tasseled shoulderbags, alligator finish totes and evening bags embellished with feathers.
More surprises as there was no manskirt on Marc Jacobs today. Instead Jacobs came out to greet the crowd in a black suit, teamed with a white button-down shirt, sans tie and what looked like white loafers.
Attending the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014 show today were actresses Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning, Princess Charlene of Monaco, Delphine Arnault, American Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, Hailee Steinfeld and Haley Bennett.
